This major remodel and addition to
a lakefront property built in the
1980s transformed this poorly
designed home that lacked space and
character worthy of its site. The concept
was developed with architectural style and
exterior character more sensitive to the
environmental context and interior spaces
utilizing the open floor plan concept.
An expansive wood deck and large glass
openings at the home’s lakeside merge the
interior and exterior. These were among
many considerations for the final concept
to create a “Cottage on the Lake.”
