The Linden Hills weeHouse is the home to the Director of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and her Architect-professor husband, and houses not only them, but their extensive art collection. The house has received significant national press for a design that celebrates the modular process and challenges the “monster house” phenomenon while blending into the residential fabric of the neighborhood. At less than $140/sf, the prefabricated 4-box layout allowed the spacious house to be completed on-site within only 8 weeks, greatly reducing both the time and costs associated with typical high-end custom architecture.
